Product Design Lead on Video Chat
I was the lead designer on Messenger Voice and Video Chat. I led design on cross platform video chat between Instagram, Whatsapp, and Messenger. Eventually our team became a focal point of Meta during the 2020 pandemic. My responsibility was crafting quality as well as pitching new ideas to the CEO and leadership team of Meta.
MEssenger Video Chat
I was lead designer on the foundations of video chat at messenger. My role was to scale the app and create and experiment with new features. I redefined the video grid and call controls.
Copresence
I was lead designer on copresence, a team that focused on engaging real time interaction between users.
Rooms
Facebook Rooms was born out of the pandemic. The need for interpersonal communication with social distancing spiked the video call usage to all time highs. I collaborated with leadership within Facebook and we created the concept of rooms.
